Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani in beautiful Hawaii at An Island Life where Friday is the day to take it easy while anticipating the coming weekend. Today I'm going to link up, take it easy and ask a question:
This is a little project I've been working on for the past couple of weeks
This old barn has been an eyesore in the yard since we renovated our historic home back in 2007. This ugly pink is the color that was on the house when we purchased it but has since been changed to yellow and white.
Here's how the old barn looks now
which leads me to this week's question:
Do you do your own painting or hire someone? Better yet, do you get your significant other to do it?

My hubby does it... we do not work well on projects together. WE tried it once and I was done about 1/3 of the way through :)
Oh wow! That looks amazing! :) We hired painters to paint our 1817 house - being 3 stories it made more sense, especially since the hubby is afraid of heights. ;)
We didn't have them paint the barn and the summer house, though - we were going to do that ourselves this summer (since the paint is what the house was - a drab blueish gray with black shutters and trim changed to eggshell white/creme with Hunter green shutters and trim) but the summer proved to be too hot and humid to tackle that. We're hoping to paint both in the spring before we put our house on the market to move back West. :)

Wow! What a change! It looks very nice!
I wish I could get dh to paint. He doesn't like it. He painted a mission house for a family once and didn't like the painting experience.
Maybe I'll have to do my own.
But we haven't painted since we bought this house.
Aloha.
