Overall Beauty Review with Fab Giveaway (ENDED)

Winner is Amber G

I love makeup and any time I have the opportunity to try out a new product line, I'm going for it!  So when Overall Beauty.Com offered to send me some of their fab makeup to review, I said "Bring it on!!!"

I knew the minute I read their website banner "Where Beauty Has A Little Attitude!" this was a makeup line for me!

I thought I would try the mineral shadows first.  I've never used anything but pressed powders in the past so this was going to be a first.  Look at the pretty shades I chose!  Aren't they gorgeous??!!

The Pink Shimmer was up first, it is so pretty.  Let me say right off that a little goes a heck of a long way, you just need a dab these minerals are so concentrated. I brushed a little on my lids and then tapped the excess off the shadow brush (that was included BTW) and touched it to the Ivory Lace to do under my eyebrows. Then I followed that up with the Smoky Joe in the outer crease blending it towards the outer edge of my lids.  The Winter Night was used sparingly along my top lash line and I was done!  For an evening look, I'll use the Pretty Gold in place of the Pink Shimmer on my lids and the Cinder (pictured on the bottom) to line my upper lash line.

I found the mineral shadows blended together beautifully and stayed put.  These colors go a long way and you need so little to get good coverage.  I would advise you to start light and then add the color where you need it but overall, I was very happy with the look.

Now for the lashes!

Overall Beauty.Com also sent along a couple of their best sellers, the Magic Lash Eyelash Enhancer and Black Magic Mascara.

I'm all for doing whatever I can to thicken up and lengthen my eyelashes so I was excited to try this out.  Once I was happy with my shadow colors,  I curled my lashes and it was time to put the Eyelash Enhancer to the test.  I read the instructions on the website and got down to business.

To start, I put a quick coat of mascara on one eye and then carefully pulled out the Eyelash Enhancer wand, tapped off the excess and carefully touched it to my lash tips.  Just like they promised,  the fibers held on.  I touched the tips a couple of more times until I had the extra length I wanted and the extra fullness where I wanted it and then I sealed it all in with another coat of mascara.

I then did the same to the other eye.

Well, I have to say, this worked like a charm, held fast and then was easily removed when I took off all my makeup a few hours later.

And look at the pretty custom cosmetic bag that was included.  It's by Erica of Little Worm Creative Crafts to keep all the mineral pots and lash products neatly stored.  Perfect size to fit in your purse or to travel with too!

The Cream Perfume Company Giveaway with Review (ENDED)

First Winner is Anne T
Second Winner is Shari D
If you love to pamper your skin with luxurious and deliciously scented lotions, The Cream Perfume Company might just become your new best friend!

Take a look at these delicately scented body lotions they so generously sent me to try.

Each of these moisturizers left my skin feeling silky smooth and super hydrated with the added bonus of smelling fabulous!  And who doesn't love the tropical scent of fresh coconut!! Their Coconut  flavor was definitely my favorite but yours just might be their fresh Lavender or sweet Roses!  And because these body lotions are 100% vegan, wheat and gluten free, contain no glycol, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, or synthetic additives or synthetic fragrances, I knew my sensitive skin would love them!

Once you feel how silky smooth these lotions leave your skin, you will want to try their solid fragrances.  And staying with their commitment of providing skin-loving products, these gorgeous wood perfume pots contain pure plant and fruit extracts.  They are phthalate free and contain no sulfates, petro-chemicals, synthetic dyes, triclosan or formaldehyde donors.

I received a pot of deliciously fragranced Mimosa Bouquet but the one I went absolutely wild for was the Ylang Ylang d'amore!  Inside these wooden pots is a wonderful solid perfume and a little goes a long way.  Great staying power and not overly strong.  Perfectly balanced!

The Cream Perfume Company search for the world's best ingredients and it shows! Their lotions luxuriously hydrate leaving behind a fabulous scent and silky smooth skin.  And they do it all while focusing on environmentally friendly packaging but best of all, their products are cruelty free!

They are The Cream Perfume Company and they make fabulous scents, naturally!!

Blogging or Cyber Bullying?

With the emphasis on our kids regarding the problems with cyber bullying on facebook and other social networks,  I can't help but wonder if this disturbing trend has found its way into the circle of adults who blog.

A few weeks ago, I posted about a privacy issue I've had over the last several months since discovering that a person who is not a friend to me or my husband has found my blog.  Sadly, she has attempted on more than one occasion to use its content to create trouble between me and my stepchildren.  I'm happy to say she has NOT been successful.

Now I've found out that someone who lives in her town and knows who she is was doing an innocent cyber search regarding menopause and happened to find my blog.  After looking around at a few of my older posts, she recognized our dysfunctional family.  She contacted a mutual friend of ours who confirmed that Menopausal New Mom is written by me.

So here is the question I have for all of you.

When I write my stories and make the odd backhanded remark about this person who has been stalking reading my blog, is that Cyber Bullying?

I have to admit the bitch in me enjoys getting in a dig at someone who tries to create trouble within my family based on information in my blog that really shouldn't interest her.

The other side of me knows the remarks are likely hurtful and not necessary and don't add any value to the content of my posts.

So out of respect for my stepchildren who should not have to listen to the bitching and complaining about my blog and its content, I will no longer be referring to this stalker person in future posts.

I-AM-DONE-WITH-HER

What do you think?  When does blogging cross the line and become cyber bullying?
