Rick Springfield "An Affair of the Heart" DVD Review!

If you were watching General Hospital back in the 1980's, you may remember him as Dr. Noah Drake  but if you were in the clubs instead, you know him as the heartthrob who sang "Jessie's Girl" which just happened to be an anthum for any single guy or girl at the time.

Now Rick Springfield has a new rockumentary "An Affair of the Heart" which was released on home video last month.  This feel-good flick chronicles the relationship between Rick Springfield and seven of his most loyal fans who put their own lives on hold to follow him on tour.

Being a gal who was out clubbing and partying during the 1980's, I was and still am a huge fan of Rick Springfield's music.  His boyish good looks had us all drooling back then and I have to say, after viewing this movie, he's still just as handsome as ever. What has changed is the level of maturity and appreciation Rick has gained for his family and fans through his battles with severe depression.

This documentary shows how some fans have given credit to Rick and his music for inspiring them to come out the other side of deep trauma and illness.  Other stories document deep life-long friendships that have formed between fans who attend Rick's concerts all over North America on a regular basis.

I received a copy of "An Affair of the Heart" and absolutely loved it.  The dedication and appreciation Rick has for his fans is refreshing and inspiring and let's just say, he's "not hard on the eyes either".

I would definitely recommend "An Affair of the Heart" for any fan of Rick Springfield whether you followed him during the 1980's or are just discovering his music now.  You can check out "Jessie's Girl" below!
