After consuming a couple glasses of wine, we pried our drinks out of our hands and placed them on the coffee tables and decided to do the math. I was shocked when we discovered I hadn't been down to visit in over a year!
Where had the time gone? I mean seriously, she only lives about 3.5 hours away by car. No more excuses. We decided on the spot we were going to make the time to get together more often.
With Thanksgiving coming up for those of you in the USA, I hope you plan to get together with family and friends. I can't recommend it highly enough!

It's sad how we let life get in the way of family sometimes and don't realize it. My brother lives less than an hour away and just bought a new house this past Summer....haven't seen it yet. That's a shame.
Makes one wonder how did we get so busy??? I remember growing up, it seemed like we were always visiting friends/famiy or they were visiting us... where have we detoured?? Hope you get to see your sister more often.. HHL
Even though it was more than a year, we picked up as if it had been yesterday, still I can't wait for the next time :)
We are fortunate enuff to have all the family close. We get together most holidays but now all the kids have their own thing going on. It gets hard to keep it together.

This made me miss my family. Haven't seen them since August. They live half way across the world so that's my only excuse :-(

You sound like my sister and me. Too much time goes inbetween visits but when we are together it is so much fun! :)
So glad you and Bev had such a good time!! Great idea getting together more often! My bff and I plan a once a month get together if only for lunch. My cousin and I just planned to talk once a month. Life is short and we never know what it will bring!
