Once You Get Started......

Funny how you can update one thing in a room, love how it looks and then all of a sudden,  you start to wonder if maybe it's time to replace something else.

That's exactly what happened when we replaced the lighting fixture in our old log cabin with a pretty feminine chandelier (yep, with your help, I got my way!)

We finally get the thing up, I stand back to admire it and when I'm done, I look around the room.  One quick glance at the two old sofa beds that are there has the words new sectional sofas echoing through my head.  Something modern, sleek and comfortable!

The two old hide-a-beds that are there now were probably picked out by the ex-wife and don't reflect my taste at all.  They are too bulky for the space, covered in some disgusting green velvety fabric like velour and just plain old ugly and uncomfortable. Not to mention, I can't think of anyone who has even bothered to try to sleep on what is left of the mattresses and I've been going there for 12 years now.

Yes, I think it's about time for a new sofa and with only one discount furniture store in our little town, I bet I will find exactly what I want at CSN Stores. I love shopping there, they ship to the USA and Canada which means directly to our cottage.

Here are three styles that I chose for the log cabin.  (Oh, I should mention that the interior walls are dark aged cedar )

This looks cozy to me!

This one says "Vacation"

Got to give hubby a leather option and I like this one!

Yes, I think if hubby wants me to continue spending time with him at the cottage, I'm going to need a nice and comfortable spot to stretch out on while I'm admiring that sparkling chandelier!

I've got my favorite, which style gets your vote?

The first one is my favorite, but I like them all - Isn't shopping fun?

I pick the first one too!!

I like the wood and design of number 1 but I am a big fan of leather. However number 3 looks a bit to formal. Swap cushions and I think you have a winner.

You should start a TLC show. "Design By Blog".

I would love a new sofa as well. I know how one new thing can make everything else look old!

wow, you will need to post before and after pics so we can live vicariously through you. I myself like number 2. It looks like more room to me and I am all about space.

I think the style of the first one is my favorite, but with a little one at home, I'd be freaking with the fabric. So that would make me go with the leather.

I like the first one. Having the ottoman to move around for more seating is really nice.

Gee, Im having a hard time on this one; could we perhaps see pictures of the cabin?

My best friend has the first one ( or at least it looks just like the first one) and it is super comfy and gorgeous. And yes, the second one screams vacation, but it's screaming BEACH vacation to me; again, I would need to see the cabin photos. The leather is beautiful and I can just imagine how soft that would be - BUT, do you have pets who will be up on the furniture? You'd be amazed how much damage little claws can do to real leather. And vinyl too.

By the way, which feminine chandelier did you get? AND CAN WE SEE SOME PICTURES??!!

The middle one gets my vote for a vacation get-away spot :) Following from FMBT.

Loving the first one...but will it match the brown cedar walls?

Without seeing the interior of the cabin, I'd say number 2. It has the dark wicker wood look at the bottom.

I like #1. But white might not be perfect for a vacation place, huh?

I'd have to go with the leather since it would be easier to wipe off doggie footprints.

The first one looks nice, but that could be because of the way it is photographed, surrounded with other furniture and good lighting.
I like the second and third choices, too.
The leather is helpful if the little one comes in with grubby little hands or hot chocolate overflowing. :)

While I like all of them, I'd personally choose the first one...it does look very comfy!

All of them are beautiful! Thanks for joining FMIC today!

The 3rd one is my favorite only because of your daughter and ease of wiping off. I was wondering how dirty the first one (which I love) will get!!

They are all beautiful. #1 makes me think of just something an everyday house would have, not something I would put in my getaway place.

#2 perfect for something different in a getaway place.

#3 more practical for young children and husbands.

I'll take the first one! Pretty please!

Every time I replace something I need more...I feel like any type of update/remodel/renovation is like the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
