Aloha Friday - Do You Make Time For Structured Exercise?

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani in beautiful Hawaii at An Island Life where Friday is the day to take it easy while anticipating the coming weekend. Today I'm going to link up, take it easy and ask a question.

With my 5-year-old daughter now in kindergarten 5 days a week, doing my step aerobics is so much easier.  When she was home, of course she wanted to join in and if you've ever done this type of workout, I don't have to mention how challenging it is not to bump into her or hit her while swinging my arms around.

So now that it's just me and Susan Powter five mornings a week (Burn Fat/Get Fit VHS from the early 90's is my favorite), it's a pleasure to get back into the routine of working out.  (and by the way, if you're looking for the perfect combination of low-impact aerobics combined with weight resistance, this workout is for you!)

Here's today's question:  Do you make time for a structured workout or fitness routine?  If so, what do you do?

And Susan P if you're reading this, when is Burn Fat/Get Fit coming out on DVD for North America??  Please!!!!!!

I have a gazelle at home. I love doing it as I can work out both arms and legs. Am trying to cut down eating as well as I sit a lot between working at home, blogging, etc. and even homeschooling. Susan Powter is a great workout also!! Way to go. Just doing it, scheduling it, and keeping consistent. Tough, but we all need it for health, weight, etc. Great post as we start the school year and get in a routine.

I work out with a trainer twice a week and I LOVE it. I have started a weekly fitness related blog post titled Trim Down Thursdays. I would love it if you linked up and shared with your readers.

No, I'm so bad that way. Most of my time is spent at the computer while hubby does all the work.

hi there:) new follower from bloghop all the way from norway- thinking that it´s abselutely great that you want to stay in shape:) Working as a nurse, working weard hours of the day often means that I have no room for a studdy workoutplan, but OH BOY(!) i just discovered the best, most healthgiving diet( read lifestyle) in the world. You´ve probably heard of it before- but LCHF really, really works! With everything! :) I just wanted to letyou to know that I´m grateful that you´re writing and sharing:) Warm hugs from Norway

HI Deb
I am ashamed to say I am far too lazy when it comes to exercise. My intentions are good, but then I always find something else to do - and I complain about my weight and energy level (all my own doing of course). Reading this post, gives me inspiration, until I get out of bed and my mind wanders (finds excuses).... Happy Friday to you xx

Unfortunately no exercise here due to complications of multiple spinal surgeries.

Not really...although I need to. We have a treadmill that I need to get back into the habit of using.

I also have a 5 year old starting Kindergarten, but I still have a 2 year old at home. Needless to say my exercise is not as structured as I would prefer, but I do manage to get about 25 minutes of aerobic activity in every day.

I don't but boy do I really need to. I like using my Wii Fit, but it's been gathering a heavy layer of dust lately. ;) It is hard to have an effective workout when you're trying not to bump into a kidlet or whack 'em with your elbow, isn't it? ;)

Good Morning! Yes, I have always had an exercise routine. I belong to a gym and take Group Power & Spin classes, and also use the weight circuit. When I break my routine, I don't feel as energetic and I notice more aches and pains. Keeps me feeing young!

I am on an off with exercise at the moment, but normally it's first thing in the morning before I do anything else. I like DVD's.
