Having straight hair has its advantages with today's style trends but with stick-straight hair comes the challenge of dealing with stick-straight eyelashes.

Over the years, I've tried nearly every eyelash curler on the market, I've pulled my lashes, broken them off, tugged on them, kinked them, ripped them out, dented them, pinched my eyelids and pretty much given up ever having long, nicely up-swept lashes.

Then I heard about "Heat".  I knew that putting a cold iron on my hair wouldn't do anything so why did I expect using a cold eyelash curler to work?  It didn't.

So when blinc offered to send me their top-selling heated Lash Curler along with their innovative best selling blinc Mascara, I was thrilled!  And I'm so glad they did!  First, let me say how clever their protective packaging is.  Slender metal tubes that not only house the heated lash curler but also their mascara.

I was a little nervous at first at the thought of using heat on my lashes, however blinc promises to deliver just the right amount of heat to set a long-lasting curl without drying the lashes out.  I unscrewed the tube, slid the curler out and took the cap off.  I then removed the bottom portion where the battery is housed, removed its protective plastic and put the battery in place, closed everything back up and turned it on.  In less than 20 seconds, the red indicator had turned to yellow and it was time to give it a try.

I followed the instructions on the website and curled the middle lashes first and then either side.  I brushed my lashes upwards and applied a bit of pressure to keep them there but only for the 3 or 4 seconds recommended and this curler easily delivered on its promise to create beautiful, up-swept lashes without kinks or dents, they looked completely natural.

Once I was satisfied that all my lashes were nicely up swept, it was time to set the curl with blinc's best selling Mascara formerly known as "Kiss Me".

What sets this Mascara apart from all other high-end brands is the way it creates water-resistant "tubes" around your lashes instead of just painting them.  And these mascara tubes bind to your lashes so you won't get smudges, clumps, flakes or streaks even if you cry or rub your eyes.  The best part?  Your lashes will look as good at midnight as they did when you first applied your mascara no matter what challenges you faced that day.

And no, you don't need steel wool to remove it or harsh cleansers.  Just lots of warm water and gentle pressure be it from your fingertips or shower and these mascara tubes will effortlessly slide right off your lashes.  It's been tested to be non-irritating which makes it ideal for sensitive eyes, contact lens wearers or  during workouts.

I applied the mascara to my newly up-swept lashes and finally achieved that cover-girl look!  The mascara added volume and length and looked completely natural.  I wore it all day and it looked just as perfect at bedtime as it had earlier that morning and removing it was a cinch, just as promised.
