Why did you start your blog?
For me, it was a way to connect with other moms. I thought my chances of finding other older first-time moms would be a lot easier online than in our little town and I was right.
And as my focus changes and evolves, so does my blog.

In the beginning, I didn't even know what a blog was. I had been writing fun trip reports about various vacations on TripAdvisor.com, and mentioned in one that my son would be marrried in a couple of weeks - everyone suddenly wanted me to write about the wedding. But I realized I couldn't write about a wedding on a travel forum, so I looked around for other venues...and found myself blogging. I originally intended it to be JUST the wedding, but I found I loved telling stories and had more to tell, so...
And of course, now I'm hooked!
I started my blog to keep in touch with friends and family. Over the years Facebook has pretty much taken over the "Keeping in touch" part and my blog has evolved into a photo journal with a variety of other things tossed in too.
I started my blog to keep track of my recipes and food adventures. Then I had kiddos... everything changed!
I started blogging so that I could start doing reviews and giveaway...I never realized how many good friends I would meet in the process...just like you! :)
My daughter told me all about it, and it sounded like fun, and something to do at home since I was on a disability leave & it turned out that I retired.
I started my blog to track thoughts I had about the books I read and to track my weight loss.
I started mine so I could write about my thoughts & feelings, pretty much what I still do on my blog today.

I started a blog to get a free download for my smartphone. I didn't even know what a blog was at the time!

I stumbled into blogging and was a BORED stay at home mom of a baby. This gave me a "voice" again and turned into something much larger than I ever thought!
In my eyes - I started blogging , way back when - oh about 8 years ago, for THERAPY.
I was really having a hard time being a step mom. I had already raised 3 children and then when I moved in with the B/F there were 2 more YOUNGER children that came along with him.
I started blogging just to vent my thoughts, trials and tribulations with step children. Ya know - thoughts that probably should not be voiced.
Just a side note. I am very close to those 2 step children. ;) Some times it pays to blog.
oh and you know about the *other* blog also.. *snicker*
I had always wanted to blog and fially got the push when a friend of mine started and said howw easy it was to do. It's fun for me and I eventually would like to see about making money doing it. But for now it's I enjoy sharing my stories and product reviews to possibly help other moms and dads.
Long version. I had a friend who got a new dog. she said she had pics(of the dog)on her site. She gave me the site name. Tuns out it was her blog. I started nosing around and found some folks I liked. Felt I should write something if I was going to be stalking. Then I thought it would be a great place to vent and unload. I have yet to get comfortable enuff to do that yet. Some folks like to write. I suck at it but I do like commenting and meeting new folk.
I initially starting in college on live journal because and I am not joking, everyone else was doing it...eventually I kinda backed off and then decided once I got married to start up a blog on xanga for my friends and I to stay in contact. Then I started doing it once my son was born. He was a preemie and my family is in Indiana, my husband's is in NY and we are in Ohio so it became the way we updated our family on Parker...
I started my blog because I am on bed rest for the next 18 - 21 weeks. I wanted something to fill my time that was fun and entertaining. My sister got me started and here I am.
I am following you from a blog hop, will you please follow me back?

I think I read something online or in a magazine about Dooce and it got me intrigued about the idea of blogging so I set one up for fun. And while I am no Dooce for sure, I've been blogging every day since :)
I was actually taking a class where we had to start a blog.
Have a great day!

Found you through Too Blessed to Be Stressed blog. Love your blog. I write about menopause on my blog High Heels and Menopause plus I have 4 more blogs. Now a follower.
My daughter talked me into it because she thought I needed something to do with my time. Haha.
I started blogging in 2008 to share my writing. At first Writing with Debra was my only blog and now I have five different blogs. My writing blog, my Christian parenting blog, my bible study blog, my healing blog and my menopausal humor blog. I only currently post to three.
I guess I wanted to be like the cool kids.
No really, I was bored and needed a way to interact with other people *over the age of 6!
To keep my enormous family updated on my little monkey but then I saw Tammy's blog and thought... reviews and giveaways sign me up : ) It is a bonus to make great friends along the way!!
I started blogging as a place for sanity, to get out my thoughts, hoping to do product reviews and giveaways, and like Tammy would never have imagined I would have made some of the friends that i have...
I started blogging as a way to record things going on in our family. It was four years ago this week and I was pregnant. It was a way to share with family and keep track of things for my children.
I started blogging as a way to get people notice my online jewelry store with Etsy....but have come to find so many nice people out in blogland...I especially love to see how other people create and have learned so many new arts. I also like giveaways...and am considering doing one myself.
LOVE your blog!! So glad to have found you! I started Blogging as a way to network and get the word out for my online only boutique ~ which is still part of the reason I do it! New follower through a hop!
I started my blog just to have some "me" time, to write about the kiddos growing up and our day to day experiences. I didn't really think it would actually grow and that people would read!
