Everyone who entered the living room for the first time took a step backward to recover from the shock of bright multi-colored lights on every wall and piece of furniture, the bright tinsel hanging over every picture and mirror and the many flashy hanging accordion-style ropes that covered everything in sight. And to add that final 1960's touch, we had a reflective "Merry Christmas" banner hanging in tatters across the drapes. With the over-sized and well-lite ceramic tree from the 1970's along with the Christmas tree covered with lights and ornaments, it was a site for sunglasses.
Let's just say I knew we had hit our target when someone exclaimed, "Wow, it looks like Christmas was shot out of a canon in here!"
And how was your Christmas?

Happy New Year.
Sounds like you all had a nice Christmas.
Christmas was good here.
We all met Christmas eve at my parents. 21 in all. Left there, grabbed the MIL and took here to see the Christmas lights around town.
Ours was good, and yours sounds awesome. :)
I came over to wish you a Happy New Year.
