Aloha Friday - How Late Is Too Late to Call?

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani in beautiful Hawaii at An Island Life where Friday is the day to take it easy while anticipating the coming weekend. Today I'm going to link up, take it easy and ask a question:

With school back in, it's a race every morning to get everyone ready and out the door on time.  For me, with back to school comes regular telephone etiquette.  That is, I don't call anyone past 9:30 pm on a week night.  I don't like our phone ringing after 10:00 pm because some nights, I'm getting ready for bed by then not to mention the chance of the ringing waking up our 6-year-old daughter who has to get up early for school.

How about you?  How late is too late for someone to call your home just to chat?

We live in NC. Sis in law moved to Washington State about a year ago. She and the wife talk everyday. She calls most nights between 11 and 11:30.

I am usually not in bed till 11:30 anyways so it aint so bad.

It's the 1:30 am calls that get the heart a pumping tho.

yes!!!! but my MIL can call anytime she likes because well she's a night owl. She also has a heart issue so I figure I can keep her company on the phone while her hubbie is out for the night.

I had a friend who would wait until her kids went to bed to call me and essentially wake my kids up. I don't even answer after 7:00 any more since it's never a good call coming after that hour.

Have a great weekend!

First of all thanks for stopping by. All my kids and friends know NOT to call me before 10 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m. if you do there better be an emergency and if you do and I answer you just gave me heart failure and if there's no emergency you just opened a can of whipass! lol

Especially when you have young babies!

But I generally do not like the phone ringing after 8pm. If it does. I will assume it's family and an emergency.

I get upset when it's a telemarketer.

I don't mind if my bf or family call.

on Saturday and Sunday. It would be nice of the phone doesn't ring.

Aloha.

Unless it's a very close friend or family member ... 9pm is way too late.

I definitely say 9 p.m. at the latest. Our kids are in bed by that time and I hate talking on the phone late.
